Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa Welcomes LCUAA Board for the 13th Screening of Student Athletes

On September 20th, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) warmly welcomed the 13th Local Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (LCUAA) Board of Directors for the 2024 screening of student-athletes. This event marks an important step in preparing our athletes for the upcoming competitions and ensuring their eligibility to represent the university.

The PLMun family, represented by Assistant Professor Alni Gavjaymin Casacop, Vice President for Student Life and Development, Executive Vice President Engr. Cynthia Meneses, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Danilo Solayao, and Dean of Student Affairs Dean Lily Jarata, warmly welcomed the LCUAA screening committee. Their presence highlighted the importance we place on our student-athletes and their promising future in the upcoming games.

The LCUAA committee members—Dir. Patrick Dagaraga, Prof. Errol T. Reyes, Prof. Flordeliza Garcia, and Dean Evan Jesusco took charge of guiding the screening process and ensuring that all athletes meet the required standards and submit the necessary documents.

Dir. Patrick Dagaraga took the lead in explaining the purpose of the screening: to verify and review all documents of the athletes to make sure they are fully qualified and ready to compete. This process is crucial in maintaining fairness and upholding the values of LCUAA.

The various sports teams scheduled for screening were introduced, including Taekwondo, Arnis, Esports, Karatedo, Badminton, Men's and Women's Volleyball, Chess, the Marshalls Pep Squad, Men's and Women's Basketball, Table Tennis, Football, as well as the Mr. and Ms. LCUAA competition.

For PLMun, this screening isn’t just about paperwork. It’s about making sure we have the best athletes ready to bring pride to our university. With the thorough review of their qualifications, we are confident that these athletes will showcase not only their talent but also their dedication and sportsmanship in the months ahead.
