January 03, 2024 PLMun Comm
Over 14,000 students are anticipated to participate in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa's Final Institutional Assessment, which begins today, January 3, and runs through January 9, 2024.
Institutional Assesment is a mechanism to evaluate the knowledge acquired by the students in their specific course of study, an opportunity to determine learning gaps and input for the academic department to reconcile the same in the ensuing semester.
Additionally, by highlighting areas for improvement in curriculum design and teaching practices, institutional assessment plays a critical role in improving the overall quality of education. It is a useful tool that teachers can use to assess the success of their teaching methods and make the required corrections. The knowledge gathered from the evaluation procedure can help with the creation of interventions that are specifically designed to help students overcome obstacles and improve their academic performance. Moreover, the University can compare its performance to industry standards and best practices by using the data gathered through institutional assessment for benchmarking. Essentially, it functions as a cyclical procedure that promotes ongoing enhancement of the learning environment for both teachers and students.
Good Luck PLMunians!
