PLMun Gala Night 2022

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) celebrated
the work commitment and service loyalty of its employees through a Gala Night,
with the theme, "PLMun is LOVE: Mahal ko ang Pamilya ko Tungkulin Ko
Gagampanan Ko", last 26 May 2022, at the Center Court of Muntinlupa Sports
Complex.
The Muntinlupa Polytechnic College’s Founding Chairman and
Former President, Hon. Ignacio “Toting†Bunye, graced the event and expressed
his delight to celebrate the 31st Founding Anniversary of the
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun). He shared the humble beginnings of
MPC with only three-course offerings and 300 student population at that time.
He also expressed his delight in learning that PLMun now offers more than 10
programs/courses, with an estimated number of 12,000 students and a 400 workforce
complement.
The University President, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE,
also expressed his greetings and congratulations to the service awardees and
all employees for their work dedication, and passion. He encouraged them to
continually serve PLMun, the City, and other stakeholders with righteousness
and integrity, embodying the University Core Values.
One of the event highlights was the awarding of the Best
Magisterial Lecture 2022. The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs
(OVPAA) recognized the top 10 awardees, namely, Ms. Geneil Ambayec, Mr. John
Paul Manuel, Ms. Ma. Josefina Salangsang, Ms. Fe Hablanida, Mr. Vince Christian
Tapia, Ms. Glorynor Navarro, Ms. Melanie Arellano, Ms. Ana Beatriz Dablo, Ms.
Lyza Bernadette Cruz, and Ms. Ruby Myra Lacro. After the Final Round of Lecture
presentations, Ms. Ana Beatriz Dablo won as the Rank 1 for Best Magisterial
Lecture, followed by Ms. Glorynor Navarro as Rank 2, and Ms. Ruby Myra Lacro
placed 3rd.
Another highlight was the awarding of the Special Citation
award to the passers of the Civil Service Examination (CSE), Board Licensure
Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT), and Bar Examination. The
employees and personnel serving the University for 5, 10, 15, and 20 years.
Finally, Assoc. Prof. Alain J. Anuevo, Dean of the College
of Information Technology and Computer Studies, and Head of the Information and
Communication Technology Office received the Presidential Award 2022. Dean
Alain showed great commitment to his work and introduced innovations to the
University.
Indeed, the Gala Night 2022 was a night filled with
excitement and celebrations. The audience was also entertained by special
performances from PLMun Chorale, PLMun Blck Mvmnt, Euphoria Band, and Kawani Artists
(Singers & Dancers). The event was hosted by Ms. Divine Grace Doydoy and
Mr. Denny Lou Bendejo.
