CAREER DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR

The Career Development Seminar, organized by the College of Information Technology and Computer Studies (CITCS) Student Council, in collaboration with the CITCS Faculty and the Center for Internship Placement and Alumni Affairs (CIPAA), was successfully held on November 5, 2025, at Heroes Hall, RLRC Building, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun). The seminar aimed to prepare students for their future careers by equipping them with the appropriate mindset, workplace values, and practical insights essential for thriving in today’s professional landscape.
The program commenced with an Opening Ceremony, followed by Welcome Remarks delivered by Mr. Melchor Paz, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and readiness for future opportunities.
The afternoon featured three engaging and insightful talks:
* Prof. Mark Anthony Esguerra presented on Labor Market Information, offering students a clearer understanding of employment trends and career prospects.
* Prof. Nelson Delloro Jr. discussed Workplace Etiquette and Professional Growth, highlighting the significance of professionalism, discipline, and adaptability.
* Prof. Mannilyn Brosas-Ilagan spoke on The Soft Skills Advantage, inspiring students to develop communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills vital to career success.
The seminar concluded with the Certificate Distribution for Speakers and Closing Remarks delivered by Ms. Nilrose Costas of the CITCS Student Council, followed by the singing of the PLMun Hymn, marking a meaningful end to the program. The Career Development Seminar 2025 truly served as a platform for learning, inspiration, and career preparation—empowering students to step confidently toward their future professions.
