GAD Seminar-Workshop on Student Journalists on Gender and Multimedia

The 1st year BA Communication students graced the Seminar-Workshop on Student Journalists on Gender and Multimedia, facilitated by PLMun Gender and Development Office last 12 October 2022, on the 3rd floor of the Research and Learning Resource Center (RLRC).
Dr. Marites D. Tagulao, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences inspired the audience through an opening remark. Her talk was followed by the introduction of the speakers by Ms. Ma. Nenieta Macaro.
Dr. Darwin H. Carmelina, PLMun GAD Focal Person and Department Head of Social Sciences and Philosophy, facilitated the morning session as the Resource Speaker, followed by the discussion/presentation of the Department Head of Communications, Ms. Alda C. Baarde. The Resource Speakers tackled how gender is being portrayed by media and how we can eliminate gender stereotyping and biases.
To conclude the event, the Vice President for Students' Life and Development, Dr. Danilo B. Solayao expressed his appreciation to PLMun GAD for facilitating the event as well as to the students who actively participated and listened to the discussions of the Speakers.
The Seminar-Workshop on Student Journalists on Gender and Multimedia was hosted by CAS faculty member, Ms. Maricel L. Garcia.
