Stakeholders’ Conference (Part 2)

In celebration of PLMun’s 30th Founding Anniversary and due to a leadership transition in the University, a Stakeholders’ Conference (Part 2) was conducted earlier at the 3rd Floor of the Research and Learning Resource Center (RLRC). 


The Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Asst. Prof. Sheila Guico delivered the welcome address for the participants composed of Elementary, Junior, and Senior High School Principals of Muntinlupa, other school heads officials from the Schools Division Office, City Department Heads, and PLMun faculty members. 


The Muntinlupa City Congressman Hon. Rozzano Rufino Biazon graced the event with his presence and delivered an Inspirational Message. He noted that the coming months will be a time for economic recovery and that the following sectors must be prioritized: Economic Security, Education, and Primary Medical/health care. He also confirmed the City Government's support to PLMun goals and plans in the coming years and beyond. 


Afterward, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, University President, presented the Strategic Goals and Direction Setting of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, which focused on Nurturing Excellence and Transformation. He discussed the present situation and paradigm shift, thus, the need for continuous change and improvement in the education setting. He presented the plans of PLMun, including the offering of new programs in Medicine, Allied Health, Social Services, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Public Administration, and Law, among others.


Dr. Arcega also introduced to the audience the composition of the PLMun Management Committee and College Deans, who will lead the implementation of PLMun’s plans, projects, and programs. 


In closing, Dr. Remedios R. Cunanan, the Technical Assistant to the City Mayor for PLMun and Dean of the College of Teacher Education (CTE), expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the delegates. The presence of the stakeholders in this Conference reflected their support to the University.
