Stakeholders’ Conference 2021

In line with PLMun’s 30th Founding Anniversary Celebration, a Stakeholders’ Conference was held yesterday, 23 November 2021, at the 3rd Floor of PLMun Research and Learning Resource Center (RLRC). 


The City Mayor, Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi attended the Conference, together with City Department Heads, Principals of Elementary, Junior, & Senior High Schools in Muntinlupa, PLMun Management Committee, and regular & casual faculty members. The participants were welcomed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Ramonito A. Mesina. 


In his special message, Mayor Fresnedi shared a bit of PLMun’s history, from being a Muntinlupa Polytechnic College (MPC), housed in Pedro E. Diaz High School then later on at the Contessa Building, to becoming a local university as Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. He congratulated the PLMun management led by the new president, faculty members, and staff on PLMun’s 30th Anniversary. He also affirmed the continuous support of the City Government to PLMun. 


After the Introduction of the University President by Dr. Danilo B. Solayao, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, presented the specific plans and programs for PLMun in the years ahead. He acknowledged the department heads and principals who attended the event and shared the importance of connecting and working together for the City and the students. 


He further discussed the strategic goals and directions of PLMun, which involve the students and employees, as well as the proposed new program offerings. He presented the new members of the Management Committee, who will be partners with him in realizing the vision and goals of PLMun. He also stated the preparations for the soon opening of schools for face-to-face classes.


In closing, the Technical Assistant to the City Mayor for PLMun, and OIC Dean of the College of Arts and Science (CAS), Dr. Remedios R. Cunanan, shared her utmost gratitude to the City Government and different stakeholders for their unwavering support to PLMun. She also thanked Dr. Arcega for his leadership and the specific goals and directions he presented for PLMun.
