2nd Annual PLMun Stakeholders' Conference

As part of the University's strategies in providing quality, affordable, and relevant education responsive to the changing needs of the local and global communities and to further improve its outcomes, there is a need to engage different stakeholders to ensure equitable access to education. It is in this light that the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa conducted its 2nd Annual Stakeholders' Conference, with the theme, "Expanding Access to Education and Learning", last 04 November 2022, at the Theater of the Museo ng Muntinlupa, Centennial Avenue, Muntinlupa City. "It takes a village to raise a childâ€, was the core message of Dr. Edsel R. Umali, the Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, Linkages, & International Affairs during his welcome message. He emphasized the significant role of stakeholders, specifically the industry partners, in molding a bright future for the PLMun students. This thought was seconded by Hon. Jedidiah Presnedi, the Chairman of the Committee in Education and Councilor of Muntinlupa City. As a former faculty member, CTP, and GS student in the University, Coun. Presnedi affirms PLMun's vision and mission of providing quality education to PLMunians.The Chairman of the PLMun Board of Regents, and Mayor of Muntinlupa City, Hon. Rozzano Rufino Biazon graced the Stakeholders’ Conference and delivered his special message for the PLMun community. He congratulated PLMun and Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, for the accomplishments and progress of the University. The Mayor also emphasized the need to consistently educate and influence the youth to love our nation and the City of Muntinlupa. He noted the significance of building the character and values of the students. The message from the Chairman of the PLMun Board of Regents was followed by the presentation of the University's Accomplishment Report by the University President. In his report, entitled, Breaking Walls, Bridging Gaps. The PLMun Story of Excellence and Transformation, Dr. Arcega presented the accomplishments of PLMun from the time he assumed office in October 2021 up to the present for the following areas:- On Expanding Access to Education and Learning- On Advancing Inclusion- On Forging Strategic Partnerships- On Advancing Economic Development through Academic Services- On Leveraging Technologies- On Nurturing Local LeadershipAttendees of the Stakeholders’ Conference were delighted with special performances from the PLMun Chorale.The Stakeholders and Industry Partners were also recognized through the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation. Dr. Arcega also provided them with a copy of PLMun’s Annual Report and a token of appreciation.In closing, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Ramonito A. Mesina acknowledged and congratulated the organizer of the Stakeholders’ Conference, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, Linkages, and International Affairs.
