Indeed, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa
(PLMun) is blessed to have strong collaborations and linkages with both
international and local partners, to pursue our mission of providing quality,
affordable, and relevant education.
Just recently, the University renewed its partnership
with the Real Life Foundation, Inc. through the signing of the Memorandum of
Agreement (MOA), on 21 February 2023, at the University Board Room.
Real LIFE Foundation is a Philippine nongovernmental
organization that exists to honor God by serving and empowering the
underprivileged youth of the Philippines through educational assistance,
character formation, and leadership development.
The Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality
Assurance, Linkages, and International Affairs (REQALIA), Dr. Edsel R. Umali
delivered the welcoming message where he expressed his gratitude and
appreciation to Real Life for their continued partnership and commitment to
PLMun and its students.
The Executive Director of Real Life Foundation, Inc.,
Ms. Mae Perez expressed her delight in re-establishing the partnership with
PLMun. She also shared real-life stories and experiences of the
scholars/beneficiaries from PLMun. Through financial assistance, life coaching,
and leadership training, these students were given new hope and confidence both
in life and in their academic journey.
The group also discussed further plans and programs to
be implemented in connection with the scholarship program and LIFE (Leadership,
Integrity, Faith, and Excellence) training.
PLMun and RLFI officials led by VP Dr. Edsel R. Umali,
VP Dr. Danilo B. Solayao, Ms. Lily Jarata, Ms. Mae Perez, and Ms. Bernadette
Gener took part in the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.
RLFI officials and representatives also include Mr.
Kristian Louis Arenas, Ms. Valerie Miranda, and Ms. Niña Mallari.
The MOA signing concluded with the message of the Vice
President for Students' Life and Development Dr. Danilo B. Solayao where he
acknowledged PLMun and RLFI's years of partnership. He further expressed his
gratitude and thanksgiving to RLFI.
This program was hosted by Ms. Farrah Jaelene
Bernardo-Lozano, the Director of the Center for Corporate Communications and
Marketing.
