PLMun Research Capability Program

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, Linkages, and International Affairs (OVPREQALIA) through the Center for Research Development and Publications successfully conducted the PLMun Research Capability Program 2023, last Thursday, 01 June 2023 at the Heroes' Hall, 3rd floor, Rizal Building.
The Lecture Series is the University’s official activity broadening and enriching the research capability of the participants by bringing speakers who are subject-matter experts.
The program commenced with a message from the Vice President of REQALIA, Dr. Edsel Umali, while the Director of the Center for Quality Management and Development, Asst. Prof. Alni Gavjaymin Casacop hosted the event.
The University President, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE also graced the event and affirmed his support to the faculty researchers.

With the theme, "Faculty on the Beam: A Research Lecture Series", the lectures were divided into three major topics:
- Identifying Research Gaps to Pursue Research discussed by the Senior Lecturer from the City College of Calamba and Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines Ms. Joanna Marie Deborja. Ms. Deborja was introduced by CTE Research Coordinator Prof. Robert Del Monte while the open forum was facilitated by Rr. Roden Samson.

- Industry-Based Research Projects, Methodology, and Publications handled by Dr. Ma. Carmen Ablan-Lagman, a Full- Professor and University Research Fellow from the De La Salle University Manila. Dr. Lagman was introduced by CITCS Research Coordinator Prof. Sherwin Esteron, while Ms. Maria Yvette Sampedro facilitated the open forum.
- Harmonizing Gender and Development in Research discussed by Ms. Lorna Israel, the Graduate Program Coordinator of Miriam College, Faculty Associate of Women and Gender Institute. She was introduced by the CCJ Research Coordinator, Ms. Daisy Valerie De Ramos while the open forum was led by IPPG faculty member, Ms. Mnenosyne Hilary Vinarao.

PLMun is also grateful for the unwavering support of the City Government of Muntinlupa for its dedicated and loyal support to PLMun as shown by the presence of the Acting Head of the City Gender and Development, Mr. Reggie Salonga. Mr. Salonga also gave a special message and affirmed the City's support to all its projects and programs.
The program concluded with the Closing Remarks of Ms. Fe Dullavin, the Director, Center for Research Development and Publications.
