Communicate Speak Up Event Launching

In its commitment and dedication to produce globally competitive students and graduates, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa recently launched the Center for Languages and Development, through the Communicate Speak Up event, spearheaded by its Director, Ms. Divine Grace Doydoy, at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex yesterday, 08 November 2022.
With the theme, "I love English, I will speak in English for a better tomorrow", the PLMun community composed of officials, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students gathered together for an exciting and fun-filled day while learning English. The Management Committee officials led the students in singing and dancing to the event Jingle followed by messages from the University President, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE and VP for Academic Affairs Assoc. Prof. Ramonito Mesina.
The event highlighted inspirational and motivational speeches from highly esteemed Resource Speakers, Ms. Monette Iturralde Hamlin, the President of Hopkins International, and Ms. Roch Vilo, the Director of Learning Experience of Athena. Hon. Vice Mayor Artemio A. Simundac graced the event and delivered a special message to the PLMun community.
Special performances and segments were showcased by selected BSED English Students, the Young English Students' Society, the Mass Media Students' Society, and the Center for Culture and Arts.
This event is a strategic move for the University as it continually gears towards Internationalization. It aims to instill excellence in students and employees, molding them to become English-proficient and confident communicators.
