The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) successfully launched the weeklong celebration for its 31st Founding Anniversary, with the theme, "PLMun is LOVE: Mahal ko ang Pamilya ko, Tungkulin ko'y Gagampanan ko."
Prior to the start of the celebration, all PLMun employees attended the regular flag-raising ceremony conducted at the Muntinlupa City Hall Quadrangle. It was on this occasion wherein the officials of the City Government of Muntinlupa acknowledged the award PLMun received from CHED. Last 18 May 2022, PLMun accepted the Gawad Parangal 2022: EDUKALIDAD - PARANGAL SA KAHUSAYAN for LUCs, with more than 75% of its program offerings have been issued Certificate of Program Compliance.
After the flag-raising at the City Quadrangle, the PLMun officials, employees, and students participated in the motorcade convoy going to the University, up to the parade inside the campus. Next, PLMun conducted a flag-raising ceremony for the students, followed by the official launching of the 31st Founding Celebration.
The opening ceremony included the special messages from Congressman and Mayor-elect, Hon. Ruffy Biazon, Councilor-elect, Hon. Jedidiah Presnedi, Hon. Ignacio Bunye, and Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, Dr. Fe Nazareno-Martinez.
Some of the opening ceremony highlights are the torch lighting activity, as well as the Silent Drill performed by PLMun ROTC cadets.
The audience were also entertained by the dance number performed by PLMun Blck Mvmt. The ceremony also included the unveiling of the Faculty Innovation Hub (in partnership with the BPI Foundation, Inc.), Book Gallery, President's and Chairman's Gallery, and the blessing/inauguration of the newly refurbished Emerald Hall.
The opening ceremony also featured the Ecumenical Service where selected employees from different religious groups offered a prayer for the 31st Founding Anniversary Celebration. The celebration concluded with the photo opportunity of each department with the guests and officials, as well as the Almusalan at the Emerald Hall.
Happy 31st Founding Anniversary, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa!
