The College of Information Technology and Computer Studies (CITCS) hosted the Institutional Assembly for Trust and Faith (IATF)/Spiritual Session for employees, earlier via Zoom Video Conferencing.
Ms. Deborah Maglaya, a faculty member from the College of Teacher Education (CTE) & CITCS shared a message on faith entitled, "Be not afraid, only believe" anchored on Mark 5:21-43. The verse tackled the story of Jairus and the healing of his dying daughter. Jairus best represented a person who had an unyielding and unwavering faith in God despite his circumstances.
Ms. Maglaya shared that Jesus remains as our Master despite the hopeless situations in our lives. He is the Lord who possesses all power and that we serve a Lord with whom nothing is impossible.
She also shared that life circumstances especially the trials we face are instruments that increase and strengthen our faith. She quoted, "A faith that can't be tested is a faith that can't be trusted." She also emphasized that God's ways over our lives are always perfect. The attendees were encouraged to trust God's timing and sovereign plans.
In closing, she stated that Jesus is able to handle our situation and that He cares about our lives.
