As a culminating activity for the University’s celebration of National Women’s Month, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) through the PLMun Gender and Development Office, conducted the GawadKababaihan 2022, with the theme, “Kababaihan Noon, Ngayon, at Bukas”, last 30 March 2022, on the 3rd Floor of the Research and Learning Resource Center (RLRC).

The event highlighted the presentation of the “GawadKababaihan” to notable women duly nominated by PLMun Employees. It aimed to recognize the exemplary attributes, services, and accomplishments of these women amidst life challenges that shall inspire, motivate, and empower others. These women became a beacon of hope and strength during the pandemic.

The speakers reminded everyone that women must be celebrated not just during March but every day of our lives. They noted the great impact of women in society and their sacrifices for the family. Ms. Quirino urged everyone to love themselves a little bit more, while Sen. Coseteng anticipates more celebration and acknowledgment for women.

The event also highlighted special performances and serenades from PLMun Chorale, Indayog Dance Troupe, and BlckMvmnt.
