FORMER TESDA DIRECTOR GENERAL MEETS PLMUN’S UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT

Secretary Irene Isaac, former Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) visited the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa on 28 October 2024 and met with the University President Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, C.E.S.E.
During the meeting, several initiatives were discussed, including the development of specialized training programs through UNESCO’s lifelong learning and industry partnerships. Dr. Arcega expressed enthusiasm for the project, knowing that it could lead to innovative curriculum designs incorporating real-world applications.
“We are committed to producing graduates who are not only academically proficient but also industry-ready”, the University President remarked. “This collaboration could set a precedent for other local colleges and universities”.
The meeting between the former TESDA Director General and the University President marks a promising step toward strengthening lifelong learning in the City of Muntinlupa. By leveraging the strengths of both organizations, they hope to create a sustainable model which will not only benefit students but will address the evolving needs of the labor market, as well.
The collaboration holds the potential to reshape educational practices and enhance the employability of graduates, ultimately contributing to the City’s economic growth.
