OATH-TAKING CEREMONY FOR NEWLY INDUCTED PLMUN FACULTY LEADERSHIP

In a momentous ceremony, the newly appointed Faculty Officers of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMUN) took their oath of office on Monday, October 28, 2024, pledging to uphold the university's core values and dedication to academic integrity. Led by Prof. Ghiebert Son I. Octavio as President, alongside Prof. Maria Victoria G. Solatorio as Vice President, Ms. Maricel L. Garcia as Treasurer, Ms. Clarissa Q. Pulido as Business Manager, Ms. Karla Patricia V. Bajada as Public Relations Officer, and Ms. Thina A. Gardner as Auditor, the new officers expressed their commitment to advancing PLMUN’s mission.
The oath-taking ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished university leaders, including Executive Vice President Engr. Cynthia T. Meneses, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Danilo B. Solayao, and Vice President for Administration Prof. Ruby Myra A. Lacro. Also in attendance were former Faculty President Dean Antonio Flores Jr., Dean of the College of Business Administration Dr. Carmencita P. Elauria, HR Head Ms. Emily V. Acero, University Legal Counsel Atty. Betty B. Pizana, University Registrar Dr. Ricky C. Dimaapi, and Chief of the Presidential Management Staff Dr. Marites D. Tagulao.
The Chair of the Election Committee, Dr. Elena E. Presnedi, led the Oath Taking Ceremony which is a powerful reminder of the responsibilities that come with their leadership roles. The newly-elected President of the Faculty Association expressed a commitment to enhance communication between faculty and administration, ensuring that the voice of the faculty is heard in decision-making processes. “We are here to serve and support each other,” Asst. Prof. Octavio expressed, encouraging collaboration across colleges.
The Ceremony marks a significant milestone in PLMun’s journey toward academic excellence and collaborative governance. With shared commitment to leadership, integrity, and innovation, the newly installed faculty officers are poised to make valuable contributions to the university community, ensuring continuity in the years to come.
This long-awaited endeavor came into fruition with the leadership of the University President, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, C.E.S.E.
