The University recently held its 3rd Convocation to honor the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, themed "Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes." This event marked the culmination of a month-long celebration and was attended by faculty and employees.

Atty. Domingo Reyes, Jr., the President of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila - the first chartered and autonomous university funded by a City Government, delivered an inspiring speech that emphasized the importance of adaptability and innovation in public service. He encouraged everyone to think about their roles as public servants and strive for excellence in serving the community.

“Education will always be the backbone of a country,” Atty. Reyes said, motivating attendees to reflect on how they can contribute to creating a better future. The message resonated deeply, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of everyone present when he concluded with a powerful words of insight: “service is not authentic without love.”

The annual institutional undertaking, one of the PLMun’s best practices, was initiated by Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, the University President. 

This celebration of public service highlighted the university's commitment to developing future-ready leaders dedicated to serving their communities effectively.
