PLMun boosts internationalization efforts in historic trip to Sun Moon University

Last 27 February, officials of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod
ng Muntinlupa met with counterparts from Sun Moon University in Asan, South
Korea to discuss a partnership that would promote internationalization programs
for both universities.
PLMun Executive Vice President Engr. Cynthia Meneses, Assistant Vice President for Administration Alni Gavjaymin Casacop, and Institute of Public Policy and Governance Dean and Center for Linkages and International Affairs Director John de Lima received a warm welcome from SMU officials led by President Seong-Jea Moon.
Also present during the exploratory meeting were Prof. Emmanuel Adu and Mr. Kim Tae Woo of the SMU Office of International Affairs. SMU Global Vice Presidents Dr. Mallory Leece and Dr. Venus Agustin also attended. Other SMU officials and staff were also present.
During his speech, President Moon highlighted areas in which SMU would be keen to collaborate with PLMun, including mobility, biohealth, tourism, and culture, among others. He also mentioned opportunities for student and faculty exchange. In response, EVP Meneses expressed her gratitude for President Moon and the SMU team for hosting the meeting and said that PLMun would definitely return the favor through a welcome program for SMU officials in the future.
The visit was part of an international cultural trip done by PLMun officials in South Korea to establish internationalization efforts and initiate the university's participation in global rankings.
