56th Regular Management Committee Meeting

In a resounding demonstration of collaborative leadership, the 56th Management Committee Meeting at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, led by Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, University President, convened today.

Present at the meeting were prominent figures including Engr. Cynthia T. Meneses, Executive Vice President; Dr. Elena E. Presnedi, President Emeritus; Dr. Marites D. Tagulao, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Danilo B. Solayao, Vice President for Students’ Life and Development; Dr. Edsel R. Umali, Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, Linkages, and International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Antonio D. Flores Jr., Vice President for Administration; Ms. Melissa A. Untalan, CPA, Vice President for Finance and Resource Generation; Asst. Prof. Alni Gavjaymin B. Casacop, Assistant Vice President for Administration; Assoc. Prof. Alain J. Anuevo, Assistant Vice President for Technology Integration; Atty. Betty B. Pizana, University Legal Officer; Dr. Remedios R. Cunanan, Dean of Graduate Studies; and Mr. Neptali B. Gonzales, University Secretary.

The meeting encompassed a range of pivotal discussions:

  1. UniFAST Billing Transparency: Vice President Untalan initiated a thorough discussion on the billing process of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, submitted to CHED-UniFAST. Dr. Presnedi provided valuable insights, contributing to the clarity and refinement of the billing procedures.
  2. Efficiency in Payroll Processes: Recognizing the significance of streamlined operations, the committee addressed the creation of a detailed flowchart for the Payroll Process. Assistant Vice President Casacop is entrusted with finalizing this essential operational guide.
  3. Strategic Budget Planning: Assoc. Prof. Lurleen Lacuna, Budget and Internal Audit Officer, shared insights into the composition of the Annual Investment Plan, laying the groundwork for the university's plans and programs in 2024. A forthcoming Budget Conference is slated to ensure the judicious allocation of resources throughout the year.
  4. Legal Overview: Atty. Betty B. Pizana presented a comprehensive report on the status of complaints received by the university, underscoring the commitment to address legal matters promptly and uphold compliance standards. All of the complaints were already acted upon and closed accordingly.
  5. Professional Development: The Management Committee explored the planning of training sessions for its members and other department heads, reflecting a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
  6. Enhancing Academic Support: Discussions also touched upon the operational aspects of the Emerald Review Center for Board Programs, showcasing the university's dedication to providing comprehensive support for students preparing for board examinations.

The 56th Management Committee Meeting concluded on a high note, highlighting the institution's commitment to transparency, efficiency, and the holistic development of its academic community. The decisions and insights garnered during this session pave the way for a promising and progressive trajectory in the coming year.
