Truth Advocates Workshop 202301 February 2023“Communication is an integral part of Governance.†– Mayor Ruffy BiazonIn its commitment to effectively provide accurate and timely information to the public and to combat disinformation, the City Public Information Office recently established the Truth Advocates, composed of selected Truth Advocates from each office/department of the City Government of Muntinlupa. To ensure effective communication with the public, the City PIO spearheaded the Truth Advocates Workshop with topics on social media management, branding, and basic photography, held earlier today, 1 February 2023, at the Conference Hall of the Alabang Central Market.The PLMun Center for Corporate Communications and Marketing was represented by its Director, Ms. Farrah Jaelene B. Lozano, and graphic designer, videographer, and photographer, Mr. Exekiel Mariñas.The City PIO and Mayor Biazon’s Soc Med Team Head, Ms. Noemi Gonzales, shared the overview of the Truth Advocates including their roles as the City’s point person and content creators for their respective offices. Ms. Noemi noted that TAs must be at the forefront of the battle against misinformation/disinformation. The goal is to know the audience, give prompt and accurate information and build credibility through well-researched content. The TAs also had a workshop on the MUN Brand Toolkit presented by Mr. Zed Fausto. The Brand toolkit includes the required logos, font style, color, and other specifications when designing posters and infographic materials. This was followed by a Basic Newswriting workshop by Mr. Alber Sembrero, Social Media Management by Mr. Kim Licerio, and Basic Photography by Mr. Allan Balila and Mr. Jojo Melegrito.The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa applauds the efforts of the City Government of Muntinlupa in strengthening communication and information dissemination in the City. - Center for Corporate Communications and Marketing (Photos captured by Mr. Exekiel Mariñas)
