PLMUN President Inspires Negrenses during HEI visit
The University President, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, was joined and welcomed by Hon. Nicholas M. Yulo, City Mayor of Bago City, Education Councilor Fem Martin, Youth Councilor Patrick Torres representing Vice Mayor Torres, BCC President Deborah Singson, and BCC Management Group.
He visited the students, faculty members, and staff of Bago City College and Negros Occidental upon the invitation of CHED Director Raul Alvarez who has been passionate to provide their residents with quality, and responsive higher education.
Dr. Arcega held separate conferences with the BCC College administrators, faculty, staff, and students. He emphasized the role of BCC in building social capital in the region and the need to strengthen agricultural education. He challenged the administrators to take the lead in promoting agricultural technologies by delivering a hybrid curriculum on agriculture. He said it is important to reinvent the curriculum on agriculture by integrating innovative interventions that involve foreign universities plus Immersion programs to attract students to enroll.
BAGO City College is a 42-year-old LCU, that consistently excelled in delivering criminology, teacher education, liberal arts, and engineering. It recently placed top 5 in the Licensure Exam for Criminology.
