The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun), through the Office of Student Affairs, conducted diverse activities as part of the official launching of PLMun’s 30th Founding Anniversary. 

During the Afternoon activities, hosted by Ms. Melonie Mater, the 4th year SPED students led the invocation, while the PLMun Chorale led the singing of the National Anthem and Muntinlupa March.

It was followed by the welcome message delivered by Engr. Cynthia T. Meneses, Head of the Planning, Quality Assurance, & Communications Office and newly appointed VP for Administration, Finance, & Planning. She emphasized that this week’s celebration is just a launching activity and the culmination of the 30th Founding Anniversary will take place in March 2022.

One of the highlights of the event is the traditional torch lighting activity performed by PLMun Karatedo Gold Medalist, Sean Gabriel T. Vidad.

The University President, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, then reported the transformation that is currently happening in PLMun. He shared his goals and plans aligned with PLMun’s vision of becoming a dynamic and highly competitive Higher Education Institution. He expressed his desire for students not only to learn in PLMun but also to enjoy their stay in the University. He also presented the new members of the PLMun Management Committee. 

In a special message, President Emeritus Dr. Ellen Presnedi shared that PLMun’s 30th Founding Anniversary is a call for rejoicing/celebration and thanksgiving to God. Everyone has a part in the journey and success of PLMun. 

During this event, the Finance Office also distributed the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) to PLMun beneficiaries. 

The audience also witnessed special performances from the PLMun Chorale, PLMun Blck Mvmnt, CTE & CAS students, and PLMun Karatedo Team.
