“What we do with what we have reveals our view of God.” – Mr. Ian Bilog
Good Stewardship was the central theme of today’s sharing presented by Mr. Ian Bilog. He used the Parable of the Talents found in the Bible to illustrate accountability and correct perspective over our work. Indeed, God has a fair and wise distribution of talents and skills to His people.
Mr. Bilog also shared the following Principles of Wise Stewardship:
1. What we have is not ours
2. What we do with what we have reveals our view of God
3. A day of accountability will come
4. We must invest what we have been given
5. Everyone received something from God
University President Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, also shared his insight and stressed the importance of putting God at the center of everything we do. He also commended all PLMun employees supporting the daily Spiritual Session. This program is also part of promoting transformation in the University which will eventually be passed on to students.
As employees, we must become Good Stewards of things entrusted to us. Our accountability is not just with people but with God who gave us the ability and skills to serve Him and the people.
May we all hear the Lord saying to us, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” (Matthew 25:21)
