However, in the third and fourth year curriculum, the University President may use his discretion in meritorious cases or create committee composed of the VPAA, College Dean concerned, the Registrar and the faculty who failed the student or the Head of Student Affairs to study the case leading to the dismissal and make the appropriate recommendation.
A student who is on probationary status will be notified by the Registrar and the student’s load for the succeeding semester shall be correspondingly reduced. e.g., by two loads if there are two failures.
A student who is due for dismissal but has enrolled before the dismissal status is ascertained, shall be allowed to remain up to the end of that particular semester or summer term.
However, the student should be made to understand that dismissal would similarly be enforced at the end of that semester or summer term. In case an “Incomplete” grade becomes a failing grade it should be counted for purposes of dismissal in the semester or summer term.
